    Scope of Work

    • Construction of a 5ML/day capacity water treatment plant

    • Installation of sedimentation tanks, filtration units, and chlorination systems

    • Design and construction of reinforced concrete reservoirs

    • Laying of over 8 km of raw and treated water pipelines

    • Electrical and control system integration for automated operation

    • Site development, fencing, and access road construction

    Challenges & Solutions

    Challenge: Limited access to the site due to rural terrain and seasonal flooding.
    Solution: The team implemented a phased logistics plan and utilized temporary access routes to maintain consistent project progress despite weather disruptions.

    Challenge: Meeting environmental compliance requirements.
    Solution: Close collaboration with environmental consultants and local authorities ensured full adherence to environmental impact mitigation measures.

    Outcome

    The completed Skhemelele Water Treatment Plant now supplies clean and reliable water to over 25,000 residents. The project not only enhanced local infrastructure but also created employment opportunities for community members during construction and operation phases.

    The facility stands as a testament to sustainable infrastructure development — combining technical excellence, community upliftment, and environmental stewardship.
